How to Introduce Your Business at a CoachingforBeer.com Networking Event

Why the Brewery Setting is Different

Traditional "elevator pitches" are often too stiff for a taproom. At Coaching for Beer, the goal is to be memorable and conversational, not "salesy." You want to sound like an expert who is easy to grab a drink with.

The 5-Minute CoachingforBeer.com Networking Pitch Model

Step 1: The "Hook" (0:00 - 0:45)

Don't start with your job title. Start with the problem you solve.

  • The Script: "You know how [Target Audience] struggles with [Specific Problem]? Well, I help them [Primary Benefit]."

  • Example: "You know how small business owners feel like they're shouting into a void on LinkedIn? I help them build a strategy that actually turns views into clients."

Step 2: The "Proof" (0:45 - 2:30)

Tell a "Micro-Story." People remember stories, not statistics.

  • The Script: "Recently, I worked with a client who was [Previous State]. After we [Your Process], they were able to [Specific Result]."

  • Pro-Tip: Mention a local Denver or Lakewood brand if possible to build local credibility.

Step 3: The "Coaching Edge" (2:30 - 3:45)

Since you are at a coaching-led event, show that you are open to growth.

  • The Script: "Right now, I'm really focused on [Current Business Goal], and I'm looking for advice or connections regarding [Specific Ask]."

Step 4: The "Call to Connection" (3:45 - 5:00)

Don't ask for a sale; ask for a conversation.

  • The Script: "I’d love to hear more about your work. What’s the biggest project you’re tackling this month?"

  • The Pivot: This is where you hand over your business card or scan a QR code.

3 Golden Rules for Brewery Networking

  1. Match the Energy: If the room is loud, be punchy. If it's a deep coaching session, be vulnerable.

  2. The "One Beer" Rule: Keep your pitch short enough that you don't let someone's beer get warm while you're talking.

  3. Listen More: The best networkers are the best "askers." Use your pitch to open the door, then let them walk through it.
