Coaching Humans

Many Coaches have a niche or lane that they prefer to stick to. My niche is coaching human beings. If you are a human being; you are appropriate for coaching.

Being human gives you a unique drive to succeed and be your best self. That is the kind of coaching I do - helping humans be their best self. To get started in coaching you only have to want to “do better, feel better, or be better” in some way.

I have coached humans from many walks of life. I have coached people at their healthiest and feeling their worst. I have coached high level achievers and people struggling to fulfil their dream. I have coached teens and retirees; perfectionists and procrastinators; veterans and first generation Americans, professional athletes and professional moms; financiers and farmers. Anyone really.

Let’s talk about your human experience and how to take your first steps toward “better”.

  • My personal journey has allowed me success through much adversity. Whether it was childhood challenges, relationship drama, or professional adversity, I know what it is like trying to find your own happiness in this world.

Having overcome so much myself, it is fitting that my personal journey has also fueled my professional pursuits. Having 20+ years in helping professions, I have assisted people in all facets of life and experiences. While all of those stories were unique, they all have one thing in common - we all just want to be happy.

Allow me to use my experience with adversity and the compound knowledge gained through helping so many other people through their challenges to help you find the happiness you desire and deserve.

  • Over my 20+ years of professional experience, I have served across the human services spectrum including Human Services, Aging Services, and Behavioral Health Services.

This experience has given me unique insight into the challenges people face across a lifespan.

I have now been practicing Coaching for 5 years.

  • My education background includes a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the College of Coastal Georgia. My other studies have included Gerontology (University of Southern California), Theology, and most recently my Health & Wellness Training course through Intervent.

National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach

Corporate Trainer Certified - Management and Strategy Institute

NASM- Certified Stretch & Flexibility Coach

    Somatic Body Coach

Certified in many training and coaching modalities.

  • All throughout my professional career I have been tapped to coach and train others, so it was natural that my training experience would be adjacent to my coaching career. I have a passion to help people grow in any context - individual, groups, corporate, or community training.

How I Coach the Individual

  • I coach the entire person in three facets: Health & Wellness, Resiliency, and Lifestyle. To thrive as human beings we must take care of our bodies and our selves; manage difficult situations; and pursue our own happiness.

  • I believe that everyone is an expert on themselves. I work with individuals to access their inner-expert to identify and create a personal wellness vision. Whether you feel stuck in your wellness journey or already have a direction to follow, I can help you make that vision a reality.

  • Many people falsely believe that psychology can only help those that “really need it”. However, there are many ways to use psychology to improve performance and functioning in every dimension of life. No matter your lifestyle goals, there is a psychological tool that can be useful for helping you reach your goals. Since we are doing non-clinical work, there is no stigma for the participant.

I use positive psychology and motivational techniques to help the individual advance through the stages of change to achieve the lasting lifestyle success they desire

  • I recognize that everyone experiences life differently from everyone else. People can even have a completely different experience of the exact situation. Knowing this means that I coach to your experience and direction. Our sessions are focused on your goals and desires for lifestyle change.

For many people pursuing their happiness also means overcoming an adverse situation or adapting to new realities. Being a coach means meeting you were you are at and helping you make the progress you desire.

  • As your coach, I cannot out work you or live your life for you. Coaches assist you with achieving your lifestyle goals and success. This means you have to do the heavy lifting to get where you want to go.

As your coach I will challenge and support your goals. I will push you on your attitudes and ask you powerful questions to help you focus on your success.
